A woman at her kitchen counter in soft morning light — coffee in hand, quietly frustrated

If this sounds like you

Going through the motions and wondering who's looking back.

You feel like something's missing and you can't quite put your finger on it. You're doing all the “healthy things” — and still craving sugar, still pouring the glass of wine to unwind. You catch yourself in the mirror some mornings and don't fully recognize her.

  • Tired, stressed, unmotivated

Not in a way another supplement is going to fix.

  • Doing everything “right” and still stuck

The elimination diet, the tracker, the reset. None of it holds.

  • Craving the pattern you keep judging yourself for

The wine, the sugar, the scroll. The relief that costs more than it gives.

None of this makes you broken. It makes you human. And you don't have to figure it out alone.

The approach

The three ideas that shape how I coach

Not another wellness dogma. Three ideas at the heart of how I actually work with women.

01

You are the expert on you

No two lives look the same. What flourishing means for you starts with your history, your values, and the shape of your days — not anyone else’s template.

02

A whole-life view

Career, relationships, movement, meaning, rest. These are the things that actually shape how you feel. We look at all of it, gently, together.

03

Evidence-based change

Positive psychology, Motivational Interviewing, and the Transtheoretical Model — decades of research on how people actually change, and stay changed.

Who this is for

The women I usually work with

Most of my clients are navigating one, two, or all three of these. If any of them sounds like you, we're probably a good fit.

Meaning & direction

  • Going through the motions
  • Feeling adrift or unclear
  • Reconnecting with what matters

Values & alignment

  • Life on paper vs. life you want
  • Career or season-of-life pivots
  • Getting honest about what fits

Self-trust & the inner voice

  • Rebuilding self-trust
  • Boundaries and saying no
  • Listening to yourself again

Health & wellness coaching is a partnership focused on behavior change and self-determined goals. Not medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

How this is different

Where I fit — between wellness noise and clinical care

Not another influencer with a protocol. Not a therapist. A structured partnership on what you actually want your life to feel like.

A wellness influencer

General advice

  • Same protocol for everyone
  • No credential floor
  • No scope, no accountability
  • No integration with your care team

How coaching works

What working with me actually looks like

Not casual conversation. Not a lecture. A structured, client-led arc — with you setting the pace and me holding the frame.

01

Discovery

A full intake — where you are, what you care about, what’s in the way, and the change you actually want.

02

Vision & goals

We co-create a health vision anchored in what matters to you, then translate it into concrete steps.

03

Reflect & refine

Motivational Interviewing draws out your own reasons. Stage-matched coaching meets you where you are.

04

Sustain

Written action plans, accountability, and adjustment as life moves. Change lives in the maintenance stage.

The research behind this

Coaching backed by decades of behavior-change research

The frameworks at the core of the coaching practice I was trained in have generations of peer-reviewed research behind them.

What shifts

From going through the motions to actually living your life

These aren't clinical promises — they're the everyday shifts clients quietly report.

White-knuckling every self-improvement reset

Small, sustainable shifts that actually hold

Endless doing with no ground under it

A steady sense of who you are and what you want

"I don't know what I want anymore"

Clarity that comes from your own values, not someone else's

Nervous system stuck in high gear

Practices that actually land in your body

What clients are saying

Real, personalized coaching — not another one-size-fits-all program.

I came to Annette going through the motions and quietly convinced I'd lost the thread. She didn't hand me a plan — she helped me hear myself again. The clarity I have about what I actually want, and why, is something I honestly didn't think I'd get back.

Sarah M.

Coaching Client

I've done therapy, I've done journaling, I've done all the things. Coaching with Annette was different — forward-facing, grounded, actually structured. Small shifts I could stick to, and a real sense of moving toward something instead of just processing what's behind me.

Jessica L.

Coaching Client

Her certification matters, and you can feel it. Grounded, evidence-based, no shame, no gimmicks. The newsletter is the only wellness content I actually read — and I've unsubscribed from a lot.

Common questions

A few things people ask me

How is this different from therapy or counseling?
Therapy generally works with clinical concerns, diagnosis, and the past. Coaching is a forward-facing partnership on self-directed change — helping you get clearer on what you want and take real, sustainable steps toward it. It’s complementary to therapy, not a replacement, and I refer out when what you need is clinical support.
What kinds of results should I expect?
It depends on the person and the starting point. Common patterns clients report: more clarity on what actually matters to them, steadier energy through the day, more confidence in their own choices, and a real sense of direction. Not a clinical claim — coaching is a behavior-change partnership, not a treatment.
Do I need to commit to a package, or can I book a single session?
You can book a single 60-minute session to start. Behavior change is compound work — decades of research on the Transtheoretical Model consistently show meaningful movement usually takes a series. Packages exist for that reason (and save meaningfully per session).
What if I've never worked with a coach before?
Most of my clients haven't. Coaching isn't therapy, isn't medical care, and isn't advice-giving. It's a structured partnership where you set the direction and I bring the methodology and accountability. The free 15-minute chat is the easiest way to see how it feels.
How do you handle privacy and my medical information?
Coaching operates under the NBHWC Code of Ethics — client confidentiality, informed consent, professional boundaries. I don't need or ask for medical records to coach effectively, and any information you share stays between us.
What if we're not a fit?
The free 15-minute chat exists for exactly that reason. If coaching isn't what you need, I'll point you toward whatever kind of practitioner would actually serve you — no pressure, no obligation.

If you're ready

I'd love to
meet you.

The free 15-minute chat is exactly what it sounds like — a real conversation, no pitch. Bring what's on your mind and we'll see where it lands.
